Estimated Monthly Company Costs
Especially relevant for clients employed by their own Latvian company. The minimum gross salary for a foreign employee is EUR 1,815 per month, which produces approximately EUR 1,210 net for the employee and EUR 1,033 of taxes — EUR 2,244 total employer cost. Family members do not require a salary.
Eligibility Conditions
Owning a Company Is Not Enough
A residence permit is obtained on the basis of genuine official employment, not only because the applicant owns a Latvian company. The company must maintain proper operations, employment documentation, payroll, salary payments, taxes and accounting.

Most preparation is completed by Afortis Group. Personal attendance may be required for submission through the competent authority, biometric data and collection of the residence permit card.
The overall procedure usually takes several months. Afortis Group uses reasonable efforts to complete the agreed services within six months, provided that all documents and signatures are submitted on time. Delays caused by authorities, banks, security checks and third parties are excluded.
